         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 19, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Elections met in a work session and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Denny, at 2:12 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Denny; Howard; Bohac; Harper-Brown  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Coleman; Deshotel; Uresti (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee visited the offices of the Elections Division of  
         the Texas Secretary of State. 
          
         No testimony was taken. 
          
         No action was taken. 
          
         At 4:15 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
