Pursuant to a notice posted on April 25, 2003, and revised,
pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule, on April 29,
2003, the House Committee on Elections met in a public hearing
and was called to order by the chair, Representative Denny, at
11:22 p.m. on April 30, 2003.

Representative Deshotel offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Deshotel moved that HB 382, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion failed by the
following record vote:

Nays: Representatives Denny; Howard; Bohac;
Harper-Brown (4).

Representative Uresti offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the

without objection.
