         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 16, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Denny, at 10:11 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Denny; Howard; Deshotel; Bohac (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Coleman; Harper-Brown; Uresti (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 11:55 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
