Pursuant to a notice posted on April 29, 2004, the House
Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative West, George
"Buddy", at 9:17 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives West, George "Buddy"; Jones,
Elizabeth; Crabb; Delisi; Keffer, Bill (5).
Absent: Representatives Farabee; Canales (2).
A quorum was present.
Chairman West made opening remarks.
HCR 11
The chair laid out HCR 11.
Representative West, George "Buddy" offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
The chair recognized Representative Chisum to explain the
measure.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
The chair recognized Representative Chisum to close on the
measure.
Representative Crabb moved that HCR 11, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives West, George "Buddy"; Jones,
Elizabeth; Crabb; Delisi; Keffer, Bill (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Farabee; Canales (2).
The Chair took suggestions from the committee members regarding
the draft report for Interim Charge #3.
(Representative Farabee now present.)
The Committee heard invited testimony on Interim Charge #1.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
At 9:50 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.
Pursuant to an announcement made by the Chair on the House
Floor, the committee would remain recessed until May 6, 2004, at
8:30 a.m.
The committee reconvened May 6, 2004, at 8:51 a.m. and was
called to order by the chair, Representative West, George
"Buddy".
The roll was taken.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
At 10:33 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
