         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 23,  
         2003, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Bonnen, at 11:40 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Bonnen; Chisum; Smith, Wayne; West,  
                   George "Buddy" (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Kuempel; Crownover; Flores (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1275 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1275. 
          
         The chair explained the measure. 
          
         Representative Smith, Wayne moved that SB 1275, without  
         amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion  
         prevailed by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Bonnen; Chisum; Smith,  
                             Wayne; West, George "Buddy" (4).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Kuempel; Crownover; Flores  (3).  
           
         At 11:43 a.m., on the motion of Representative West, George  
         "Buddy" and without objection, the meeting was adjourned  
         subject to the call of the chair.
