         Pursuant to a two-hour notice posted on May 14, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Smithee, at 2:46 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Bonnen; Keffer, Bill;  
                   Taylor; Van Arsdale (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Eiland; Gallego; Thompson (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 127 
          
         The chair laid out SB 127 as pending business.  
          
         Representative Seaman offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Bonnen moved that SB 127, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Bonnen;  
                             Keffer, Bill; Taylor; Van Arsdale (6).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         At 2:48 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
