         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 14, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Natural Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Puente, at 3:03  
         p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Hamilton; Hardcastle (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hope; Cook, Robby; Wolens (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Groundwater Issues 
          
         The committee considered testimony regarding the state's  
         groundwater issues.
