         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2003,  
         the House Committee on Natural Resources met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Puente, at  
         12:43 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Hamilton; Hardcastle; Wolens (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Callegari; Campbell (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 2293 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2293 as pending business.  
          
         The chair offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Geren moved that HB 2293, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Puente; Hope; Geren;  
                             Hardcastle; Wolens (5).  
           
         Nays:               Representatives Cook, Robby; Hamilton (2).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Callegari; Campbell  (2).  
           
         At 12:47 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
