         City Hall Complex, 103 Main Plaza, San Antonio, Texas 
          
         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 20, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Natural Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Puente, at 10:09  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Puente; Callegari; Campbell; Cook,  
                   Robby; Geren; Hardcastle; Wolens (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hope; Hamilton (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Edwards Aquifer and the Edwards Aquifer Authority 
         (Charge 1) 
          
         The committee considered testimony relating to the current  
         condition of the Edwards Aquifer and the Edwards Aquifer  
         Authority. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 12:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:15 p.m., September 20, 2004. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:30 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Puente. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Puente; Callegari; Campbell; Cook,  
                   Robby; Hardcastle (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hope; Geren; Hamilton; Wolens (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.
