         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 11, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Ritter, at 9:07  
         a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Ritter; Telford; Martinez Fischer;  
                   Pena; Rose (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives McClendon; Grusendorf (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Chairman's opening remarks.

         (Representative Grusendorf now present.) 
          
         At 11:17 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes upon adjournment. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 5:20 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Ritter. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Telford; McClendon; Grusendorf (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.
