Pursuant to a notice posted on May 23, 2003, the House Committee
on Pensions & Investments met in a formal meeting and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Ritter, at 10:55 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Ritter; McClendon; Martinez Fischer;
Rose (4).
Absent: Representatives Telford; Grusendorf; Pena (3).
A quorum was present.
SB1243
The chair laid out SB1243.
Representative Ritter offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Rose moved to include in the minutes that SECTION
5 of the bill adversely affects Hays Consolidated Independent
School District. The motion prevailed without objection.
Representative McClendon moved to include in the minutes that
SECTION 5 of the bill adversely affects Fort Sam Houston
Independent School District. The motion prevailed without
objection.
Representative Martinez Fischer moved that SB1243, as
substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Ritter; McClendon; Martinez
Fischer; Rose (4).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Telford; Grusendorf; Pena (3).
At 10:57 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
