Pursuant to a notice posted on April 24, 2003, the House
Committee on Public Education met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Grusendorf, at
12:30 a.m., on April 30, 2003.

HB 699
The chair laid out HB 699 as pending business.
Representative Hochberg offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Hochberg moved that HB 699, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Grusendorf; Branch; Dawson;
Eissler; Griggs; Hochberg; Madden (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
