Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2003,
the House Committee on Public Education met in a formal meeting
and was called to order by the chair, Representative Grusendorf,
at 8:54 p.m.

The chair laid out HB 1254.
Representative Hochberg offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Hochberg moved that HB 1254, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Grusendorf; Dawson; Eissler;
Griggs; Hochberg (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).

The chair laid out HB 442 as pending business.
