CORRECTED MINUTES
On April 23, 2003, the House Committee on State Cultural and
Recreational Resources authorized the correction of the minutes
for the meeting of the House Committee on State Cultural and
Recreational Resources held on April 9, 2003. The following are
the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 9,
2003, the House Committee on State Cultural and Recreational
Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the
chair, Representative Hilderbran, at 12:43 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Dukes; Bailey;
Cook, Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (7).

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 457 as pending business.
Representative Geren moved that HB 457, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the

Representative Phillips offered a complete committee substitute.
Representative Phillips offered an amendment to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into
a committee substitute.
The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without
objection.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that HB 1837, as substituted,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
