Pursuant to a 2-hour notice posted on May 14, 2003, the House
Committee on State Cultural and Recreational Resources met in a
formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,
Representative Hilderbran, at 2:31 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook, Byron;
Kuempel (4).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Bailey; Phillips (3).
A quorum was present.
HCR 219
The chair laid out HCR 219.
Representative Hilderbran offered an amendment to the measure.

The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that HCR 219, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook,
Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Bailey (2).
SB 1415
The chair laid out SB 1415.
Representative Cook, Byron moved that SB 1415, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook,
Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; Bailey (2).
At 2:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
