         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on September  
         24, 2003, the House Committee on State Cultural and Recreational  
         Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the  
         chair, Representative Hilderbran, at 3:00 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook, Byron;  
                   Kuempel; Phillips (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Dukes; Bailey (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HCR 10 
          
         The chair laid out HCR 10. 
          
         Representative Hilderbran offered an amendment to the measure.  
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Geren moved that HCR 10, as amended, be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following  
         record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Hilderbran; Geren; Cook,  
                             Byron; Kuempel; Phillips (5).  
           
         Nays:               None (0).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Dukes; Bailey  (2).  
           
         At 3:05 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
