         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 23,  
         2003, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Krusee, at 7:35 p.m.

         Representative Hamric offered an amendment to the measure.  
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Hamric moved that SB 1463, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
