The House Committee on Transportation 78th Legislature July 18, 2003 12:25 p.m. Speaker's Committee Room Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on July 18, 2003, and permission granted by the House allowing the committee to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Krusee, at 12:36 p.m. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Garza; Harper-Brown; Mercer (5). Absent: Representatives Hamric; Edwards; Hill; Laney (4). A quorum was present. SB 21 The chair laid out SB 21. (Representative Laney now present.) (Representative Hamric now present.) Chairman Krusee explained the measure. Representative Phillips offered committee amendment #1 to the measure. The amendment was adopted without objection. Representative Mercer offered committee amendment #2 to the measure. The amendment was adopted without objection. Representative Phillips moved that SB 21, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote: Ayes: Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Hamric; Garza; Harper-Brown; Mercer (6). Nays: Representative Laney (1). Present, Not Voting: None (0).
