         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on September  
         15, 2003, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Krusee, at 1:05 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Hamric; Edwards;  
                   Garza; Harper-Brown; Laney; Mercer (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Hill (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 2 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2. 
          
         Chairman Krusee explained the bill. 
          
         Representative Phillips moved that HB 2, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Krusee; Phillips; Hamric;  
                             Edwards; Garza; Harper-Brown; Mercer (7).  
           
         Nays:               Representative Laney (1).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representative Hill  (1).  
           
         At 1:08 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
