         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 3, 2004, the House Committee  
         on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Talton, at 10:15 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Talton; Van Arsdale; Bailey; Hunter;  
                   Wong (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Menendez; Edwards (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 1:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
