         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 13, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative McCall, at 10:05 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives McCall; Paxton; Pitts (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hilderbran; Keffer, Jim; Luna; Ritter;  
                   Woolley (5). 
          
         A quorum was not present. 
          
         The Chair explained that the committee would only be accepting  
         testimony and taking no action. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Hilderbran now present.) 
          
         At 10:44 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
