         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on  
         Administration was held on Friday, July 25, 2003, at Senator  
         Harris' desk

         The chair called the meeting to order at 11:45 a.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         Senator Harris laid out a purchase order for white opaque paper.   
         Senator Whitmire moved approval of the purchase order.  The  
         motion passed with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent, 0  
         present not voting. 
          
         Senator Harris laid out a supplemental budget for the Senate  
         Jurisprudence Committee.  Senator Wentworth moved approval of  
         the supplemental budget.  The motion passed with a record vote  
         of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent, 0 present not voting. 
          
         There being no further business, at 11:47 a.m. Senator Harris  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
