Senator Van de Putte moved that HCR 3 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The chair laid out HCR 4 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Jackson, to explain the bill. Senator Van de Putte moved that HCR 4 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The chair laid out SB 20 and recognized the author, Senator Janek, to explain the bill. Senator Jackson moved that SB 20 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The chair laid out SB 19 and recognized the author, Senator Harris, to explain the bill. Senator Van de Putte moved that SB 19 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Hinojosa moved that Senator Harris and Senator Wentworth be shown voting "aye" on HCR 3 and HCR 4; without objection, the motion passed. At 10:02 a.m. Senator Harris assumed the chair. There being no further business, at 10:02 a.m. Senator Harris moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.
