         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was  
         held on Monday, March 29, 2004, in the Capitol Extension, Room  
         E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         The Committee heard invited testimony on the Committee's interim  
         charge relating to Pension Fund Review.  Witnesses testifying  
         and registering on the interim charge are shown on the attached  
         list. 
          
         Senator Zaffirini assumed the Chair at 2:44 p.m. 
          
         Senator Ogden resumed the Chair at 2:53 p.m. 
          
         Senator Zaffirini moved approval of the minutes from the  
         previous hearings held on March 15, 2004, and March 16, 2004.   
         Senator Brimer seconded the motion; without objection, it was so  
         ordered. 
          
         The Committee heard invited testimony on the Committee's interim  
         charge relating to the Enterprise Fund.  Witnesses testifying  
         and registering on the interim charge are shown on the attached list. 
          
         There being no further business, at 4:25 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until  
  
         10:30 a.m. the next morning, Tuesday, March 30, 2004.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
