         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was  
         held on Monday, May 24, 2004, in the Capitol Extension E1.030

         A joint hearing of the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate  
         Health and Human Services Committee was held.  Chairs Ogden and  
         Nelson shared presiding duties. 
          
         Chairman Ogden called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. 
          
         The Committee heard invited testimony on the Finance Committee's  
         interim charge relating to monitoring the implementation of  
         Article II reorganization and the Health and Human Services  
         Committee's interim charge relating to monitoring the  
         implementation of HB 2292.  Witnesses registering and testifying  
         on the interim charges are shown on the attached list. 
          
         The clerk called a joint roll call of both Committees.  A quorum  
         was present for both the Finance and Health and Human Services  
         Committees. 
         Invited testimony resumed. 
          
         At 3:35 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committees stand  
         recessed for 10 minutes; without objection, it was so ordered. 
          
         The Committees reconvened at 3:45 p.m. 
          
         Invited testimony resumed. 
          
         There being no further business, at 6:00 p.m. Senator Ogden  
         moved that the Senate Finance Committee stand recessed until  
         8:00 a.m., May 25, 2004, in room E1.036; without objection, it  
         was so ordered.  Senator Nelson moved that the Senate Health and  
         Human Services Committee stand recessed until 1:00 p.m, May 25,  
         2004 in the Senate Chamber; without objection, it was so  
         ordered.
