11.18, a public hearing of the Subcommittee on Base Realignment
and Closure was held on Monday, September 27, 2004, in the
Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center, Corpus
Christi

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. There being
a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The Senate Subcommittee on Base Realignment and Closure heard
invited and public testimony regarding the upcoming Department
of Defense's Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) round, the
preparations ensuing in Corpus Christi, Ingleside, Kingsville
and the surrounding areas. Also addressed were the challenges
faced and needs of defense-dependent communities in preparing
for BRAC and beyond.
The hearing was adjourned at 3:40 p.m., on motion of the Chair
of the Subcommittee.
