         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Workers'  
         Compensation, Select Interim was held on Tuesday, October 12,  
         2004, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at Austin, Texas.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. Witnesses  
         registering and/or testifying are shown on that shown on the  
         attached list. 
          
         At 9:48 a.m. Senator Madla assumed the chair.  
          
         At 9:50 a.m. Senator Staples resumed the chair.   
          
         At 10:29 a.m. Senator Estes assumed the chair.   
          
         At 10:31 a.m. Senator Staples resumed the chair.   
          
         At 11:31 Chairman Staples thanked all members on the committee  
         and all witnesses that provided information to the Senate Select  
         Interim Committee on Workers' Compensation. 
          
         There being no further business, at 11:33 p.m. Senator Todd  
         Staples moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the  
         call of the chairman.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
