         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Joint Select Committee on Public  
         School Finance was held on Monday, March 29, 2004, in the  
         Capitol Extension E1.030, in Austin, Texas.

         Representative Grusendorf called the meeting to order at 10:09  
         a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was  
         transacted:   
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on the Joint Select  
         Committee on Public School Finance report are shown on the  
         attached list.       
          
         At 12:55 p.m. Senator Shapiro assumed the chair.   
          
         At 1:07 p.m. Representative Grusendorf resumed the chair.   
          
         At 4:31 p.m. Representative Hill assumed the chair.   
          
         At 4:33 p.m. Senator Shapiro assumed the chair.   
          
         At 4:44 p.m. Representative Grusendorf resumed the chair.   
          
         The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without  
         objection, it was so ordered.   
          
         There being no further business, at 8:58 p.m. Representative  
  
         Grusendorf moved that the Committee be adjourned.  Without  
         objection, it was so ordered.
