The subcommittee will meet to discuss interim charge number six, Graduate
Medical Education.

* Higher Education Coordinating Board
* Health and Human Services Commission

         The subcommittee will take invited and public testimony.

Interim Charge Six - Evaluate all funding streams for graduate medical
education for financial viability and educational effectiveness in light
of changes in Medicaid, managed care and other cost factors, including the
impact of uncompensated care.  This evaluation shall include a review of
the state's teaching hospitals and the provision of indigent health care
and the role of graduate medical education in addressing health care
needs of under-served regions of the state.
