Relating to changing the composition of certain state agency
governing bodies with an even number of members to comply with the
changes made to Section 30a, Article XVI, Texas Constitution.

Relating to the publication of state agency Internet addresses in
telephone directories.

Proposing a constitutional amendment allowing the governor to
remove from office officers in the executive branch of state
government who were appointed by a governor.

Relating to surplus and salvage computer equipment.

Relating to an exemption from The Texas Engineering Practice Act
for certain public works.

Relating to access to birth records under the public information
law.

Proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the use of income
and appreciation of the permanent school fund.

Relating to legislative review and gubernatorial suspension of
certain rules of state agencies.

Proposing a constitutional amendment relating to unfunded mandates
imposed on public school districts.

Proposing a constitutional amendment providing for an annual state
budget and annual legislative sessions for budget purposes.

Relating to an annual state budget and legislative budget sessions
in even-numbered years and to political contributions made during a
legislative session.

HB 3498            Raymond
Relating to a provision in certain contracts entered into by
governmental bodies.

HB 2342            Kolkhorst
Relating to requiring a cost impact statement on each bill or
resolution that imposes a mandate on school districts, including an
estimate of costs for school districts with different student
enrollments.

SB 653            Wentworth
Relating to the charges that may be imposed under the public
information law for providing a copy of public information.

HB 3414            Marchant
Relating to the filing of a financing statement record under the
Uniform Commercial Code.

HB 3415            Marchant
Relating to the filing of an application for registration of a
trademark or service mark, and other trademark instruments with the
secretary of state.

HB 3416            Marchant
Relating to the appointment of notaries public.

1) The Chair will recess this hearing prior to 10:00 a.m.  The hearing will
be reconvened upon adjournment of the House of Representatives.

2) Any measure posted for the April 7, 2003 hearing of the State Affairs
Committee, but not considered at that hearing, may be considered at this
hearing.
