Amend HB 2, as follows:                                                      

	(1)  Strike SECTION 2A.13, Educator Excellence Incentive 

Program.            

	(2)  On page 25, line 23; amend Section 42.3051 by inserting a 

new subsection (b) to read as follows, and renumbering subsequent 

subsections accordingly:

	Sec. 42.3051. PROFESSIONAL STAFF SALARIES AND ADDITIONAL 

STATE AID.          

	(b)  A school district each school year shall pay each 

district employee, other than an administrator or an employee 

subject to the minimum salary schedule under Section 21.402, an 

amount at least equal to $500. A payment under this subsection is in 

addition to the wages the district would otherwise pay the employee 

during the school year.
