System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend CSSB 62 in SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Chapter 2206, 

Government Code, by adding the following appropriately numbered 

section and renumbering the existing sections as appropriate:

	Sec. 2206.____.  AMOUNT OF DAMAGES FOR TAKING OF PROPERTY.  If 

property is taken under the power of eminent domain and if a purpose 

of the taking is economic development, the owner of the property is 

entitled to compensation in an amount of equal to the greater of:

		(1) the actual damages resulting from the taking of the 

property; or 

		(2) the value necessary to replace the property with 

other comparable property.
