R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Baird is celebrating its 
120th year of operation; and
	WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Baird has operated in the 
Big Country continuously since July 1, 1885, serving the banking 
needs of the citizens of Abilene and the Big Country; and
	WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Baird has been a good 
neighbor, contributing to the growth of Abilene and the Big Country 
by supporting commerce, local charities, and community events; and
	WHEREAS, The board members, officers, and employees of The 
First National Bank of Baird strive to provide the best to its 
community; and
	WHEREAS, The bank is under the current direction and 
leadership of Joe Sharp, CEO/Co-Chairman; Sammy Edington, 
Co-Chairman; Scotty Lindley, President and Director; Fred Goble, 
Director; Zan Statham, Director; and Senior Vice Presidents Ron 
Keller, John May, Dan Nasser, Dani Ramsay, and Mike Bannister; and
	WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Baird embraces the 
heritage of its past, the opportunities of the present, and the hope 
of the future for the surrounding community; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature commend The First National Bank of Baird for 
celebrating 120 years of operation; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
