H.R. No. 23
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wanda and John C. Hayslip of Midland celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on May 20, 2005, marking a milestone
in their long and happy union; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hayslip and the former Wanda Faye Payne were
united in matrimony in Loraine in 1955, and they have since enjoyed
a loving marriage that has been blessed with four children, Ardis,
Kevin, Vickie, and Terri, four grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Valued residents of Midland since 1960, the pair are
members of the First Assembly of God and were the owners of John's
Water Well Service; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, John and Wanda Hayslip have
shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring union remains
a genuine source of inspiration to all those with whom they have
shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Wanda and John
C. Hayslip on the joyous occasion of their golden wedding
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
happiness together; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hayslip as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
