H.R. No. 25 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, June 4, 2005, marked the 55th wedding anniversary of 
Bryan Lee and Mary Ellen Parnell, and this memorable milestone 
offers an ideal opportunity to reflect on a shared lifetime of 
challenges and triumphs; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Parnell and the former Mary Ellen Middleton were 
joined in matrimony on June 4, 1950, at the First General Baptist 
Church of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and since that time their union 
has grown in mutual respect and affection; and
	WHEREAS, Over the years they have derived great pride and 
happiness from their loving family, including their son, Steve, and 
daughter-in-law, Tre; their daughter, Rebecca, and son-in-law, 
Steve; and their grandsons, Sean and Tim; and
	WHEREAS, The celebration of the Parnells' emerald wedding 
anniversary is an eloquent tribute to the power of love and the 
value of commitment, and all those fortunate enough to know them 
rejoice in the strength and longevity of their marriage; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Bryan Lee and 
Mary Ellen Parnell on the occasion of their 55th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Parnell as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
