H.R. No. 52 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Government Employees Credit Union of El Paso 
offers the benefits of both a commercial financial institution and 
a member-owned cooperative, and those Texans who give of their time 
and talents to serve the organization as board members help to 
ensure the ongoing success of this vital community resource; and
	WHEREAS, Fermin Acosta, Jr., is one such individual, and he 
has proven to be an effective advocate for the interests of his 
fellow credit union members, most recently in his current role as 
senior vice president of the credit union; an employee of GECU since 
1970, Mr. Acosta brings to his work with the credit union a wealth 
of knowledge and expertise garnered through his employment and his 
professional affiliations; and
	WHEREAS, During his outstanding tenure, Mr. Acosta has 
devoted himself to the welfare of the institution and its members, 
setting a high standard of excellence for the benefit of all; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Fermin Acosta, Jr., 
for his service on the board of the Government Employees Credit 
Union of El Paso and extend to him sincere best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Acosta as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
