R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Government Employees Credit Union of El Paso offers the benefits of both a commercial financial institution and a member-owned cooperative, and those Texans who give of their time and talents to serve the organization as board members help to ensure the ongoing success of this vital community resource; and WHEREAS, Arthur V. Werge, Jr., is one such individual, and throughout his service he has proven to be an effective advocate for the interests of his fellow credit union members; and WHEREAS, A special agent for the FBI since 1991, Mr. Werge was first appointed as an advisory director for the GECU board in September 2004, and since that time he has brought his considerable experience and expertise to bear in his work in behalf of the credit union; and WHEREAS, During his outstanding tenure on the board, Mr. Werge has devoted himself to the welfare of the institution and its members, setting a high standard of excellence for the benefit of all; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Arthur V. Werge, Jr., for his service on the board of the Government Employees Credit Union of El Paso and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Werge as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
