H.R. No. 54 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Government Employees Credit Union of El Paso 
offers the benefits of both a commercial financial institution and 
a member-owned cooperative, and those Texans who give of their time 
and talents to serve the organization as board members help to 
ensure the ongoing success of this vital community resource; and
	WHEREAS, Jose Quinonez, Jr., is one such individual, and he 
has proven to be an effective advocate for the interests of his 
fellow credit union members since he first came to the board; and
	WHEREAS, First appointed to the position of advisory director 
for the GECU board in September 2003, Mr. Quinonez has also served 
on the organization's personnel policies committee since April 
2004; and
	WHEREAS, During his outstanding tenure on the board, Mr. 
Quinonez has devoted himself to the welfare of the institution and 
its members, setting a high standard of excellence for the benefit 
of all; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Jose Quinonez, Jr., 
for his service on the board of the Government Employees Credit 
Union of El Paso and extend to him sincere best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Quinonez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
