H.R. No. 57
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Government Employees Credit Union of El Paso
offers the benefits of both a commercial financial institution and
a member-owned cooperative, and those Texans who give of their time
and talents to serve the organization as board members help to
ensure the ongoing success of this vital community resource; and
WHEREAS, Robert C. Nagel is one such individual, and he has
proven to be an effective advocate for the interests of his fellow
credit union members throughout the years since he first joined the
board in 1976; and
WHEREAS, A retired special agent with the FBI, Mr. Nagel
served as chair of the GECU board from 1991 to 2004, and he has
continued to lend his considerable expertise and experience to the
organization since that time; and
WHEREAS, During his outstanding tenure on the board, Mr.
Nagel has devoted himself to the welfare of the institution and its
members, setting a high standard of excellence for the benefit of
all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor Robert C. Nagel for
his service on the board of the Government Employees Credit Union of
El Paso and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nagel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
