H.R. No. 138


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Richard and Martha Lindsey of Burleson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 28, 2005, and commemorated the special occasion by renewing their vows in the presence of their friends and family; and WHEREAS, United in matrimony on May 28, 1955, at First Nazarene Church in Fort Worth, the Lindseys have since enjoyed a loving marriage that has been blessed with two daughters, Cindy Lindsey Pedigo and Vickie Lindsey Ficus; they have also welcomed into their family seven grandchildren, Jason, Candy, Randall, Crystal, Adam, Casey, and Kayla, and three great-grandchildren, Moriah, Trey, and Tyler; and WHEREAS, The happy couple are valued members of their community and have both enjoyed successful careers; Mr. Lindsey, who served with the U.S. Army in Germany, retired from Plumbers and Fitters L.U. No. 146 in Fort Worth, and Mrs. Lindsey is a former real estate broker; and WHEREAS, Throughout the past five decades, Richard and Martha Lindsey have shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring union serves as an inspiration to all those with whom they have shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Richard and Martha Lindsey on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness together; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
