H.R. No. 198



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Joshua Troy Rathbun, of the Boy Scouts of America 
Troop 410 Venturing Crew in San Antonio, has attained the rank of 
Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special 
recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant 
honor, one bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the 
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's criteria, 
Mr. Rathbun earned the requisite 21 merit badges, including those 
requiring expertise in such diverse areas as geology, small boat 
sailing, and metalwork, and he successfully completed an Eagle 
Scout project of lasting benefit to his community; and
	WHEREAS, A recipient of the Arrow of Light Award, this fine 
young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability 
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration 
of his crew as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting 
offers; and
	WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Rathbun enjoys the love and support of 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Rathbun, in all his endeavors; his 
dedication to excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his 
goals have proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and it 
is most appropriate that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Joshua Troy 
Rathbun on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him 
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Rathbun as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
