R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Idolio "Al" Alaniz of San Antonio on
June 8, 2005, at the age of 75, has deeply saddened the family and
friends of this beloved gentleman; and
WHEREAS, Born on December 21, 1929, Mr. Alaniz was a proud
veteran of the United States Air Force; and
WHEREAS, This successful entrepreneur owned Al's Mexican
Food and More and took great pride in his business; devoted to his
family, he was blessed with a loving wife, two children, and a
granddaughter; and
WHEREAS, Although Al Alaniz will be sorely missed, he will
long be fondly remembered by those individuals whose lives were
touched by his affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Idolio "Al" Alaniz and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his
family: to his wife, Elva L. Alaniz; to his children, Sandra Yvonne
Alaniz and Anthony Alfred Alaniz and his wife, Michelle; to his
granddaughter, Makayla Michelle Alaniz; to his sister, Zoila A.
Bentancourt; to his nephew, Raymond Bentancourt and his wife,
Hilda; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Idolio "Al"
Alaniz.
