R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Desiree Childs of Lamesa has received the 
High-Academic Achievement Award for the Texas Tech University 
College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources; and
	WHEREAS, The prestigious award was recently presented to Ms. 
Childs, a senior animal and food sciences major, for having the 
highest GPA in the department; and
	WHEREAS, She accepted the award at the college's 2005 Student 
Agricultural Council Honors Banquet, an annual opportunity for 
students to be recognized for impressive efforts during the school 
year that reflect well on themselves and on Texas Tech University; 
and
	WHEREAS, Desiree Childs is an exceptional role model for all 
who have the privilege of knowing her, and it is a distinct pleasure 
to join in honoring her for her recent achievement; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Desiree 
Childs on her receipt of the High-Academic Achievement Award for 
the Texas Tech University College of Agricultural Sciences and 
Natural Resources and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Childs as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
