R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Leroy and Evelyn Stewart of Midland marked their 
55th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2005, and are planning a trip 
to Ruidoso, New Mexico, in celebration of this joyful occasion; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Stewart and the former Evelyn Jackson were 
married on June 10, 1950, in Lovington, New Mexico; since that 
special day, they have nurtured an enduring union that has been 
blessed with two daughters, Nancy Davis and Kay Wesson, three 
granddaughters, Brandi Geron, Staci Paglusch, and Jaimi Chandler, 
and six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hayli, and Rayni Johnson, Tyler 
and Cole Brown, and Levi Geron; and
	WHEREAS, Now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, Mrs. 
Stewart was employed with First National Bank, while Mr. Stewart 
worked with the Midland Reporter-Telegram and then began a career 
as a realtor; the couple are congregants of North A and Tennessee 
Church of Christ; and
	WHEREAS, For 5-1/2 decades, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have 
experienced the myriad joys and challenges of marriage and 
parenthood, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring them at this 
time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Leroy and 
Evelyn Stewart on their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stewart as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
