R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Stephanie Hirsh of Richardson is stepping down after nine years of dedicated service on the Richardson Independent School District Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas, Dr. Hirsh earned her master's degree in education administration and her doctorate in curriculum and instruction; joining the RISD board in 1996, she has since served her fellow trustees as vice president and earned the designation of master trustee from the Texas Association of School Boards; moreover, she has distinguished herself as the deputy executive director of the National Staff Development Council since 1998; and WHEREAS, Dr. Hirsh has further contributed to the betterment of her community through her involvement with a number of area organizations; she has given of her time and talents to the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, the Anti-Defamation League of Greater Dallas, and the Temple Shalom Congregation; and WHEREAS, Stephanie Hirsh's deep commitment to furthering the goals of Richardson ISD has not only won her the appreciation of her community but has made a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Dr. Stephanie Hirsh for her exemplary service with the Richardson Independent School District Board of Trustees and extend to her warmest best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Dr. Hirsh as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
