H.R. No. 237



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, In commemoration of their golden wedding 
anniversary, George (G. W.) and Ruby Bickerdike of Gilmer were 
honored by family and friends at a reception on June 12, 2005, held 
at the Yamboree Exhibit Building; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Bickerdike and his bride, the former Ruby 
Marzell Letsinger, were joined in matrimony in 1955; they have 
nurtured a close and fulfilling relationship that has brought much 
happiness to them and to their circle of loved ones, including two 
beloved children, Wesley Bickerdike and Dana Bickerdike Bramlette; 
and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted pair have shared 
the myriad blessings of marriage and parenthood, and they are truly 
deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate George and 
Ruby Bickerdike on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bickerdike as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
