R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Mr. Jerry L. Love of Abilene has been elected 
Chairman-Elect of the 27,000-member Texas Society of Certified 
Public Accountants; and
	WHEREAS, He was elected on June 24, 2005, to serve as the 
Chairman-Elect of the society's board of directors and will serve 
Texas CPAs by setting policy, managing programs, and overseeing 
activities to assist them; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Love is currently president and chief executive 
officer of the highly respected accounting firm of Davis, Kinard &
Co., P.C. located in Abilene; and
	WHEREAS, He has been involved in numerous community 
activities, including the Grace Museum, Rotary Club, the KACU 
Community Advisory Board, the Jon Ben Shepperd Public Leadership 
Foundation, Abilene Jaycees, Nonprofit Resource Center, Abilene 
Boys Club, Taylor County Cancer Society, and is campaign treasurer 
for State Representative Bob Hunter; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Love is a graduate of Abilene Christian 
University and currently holds licenses as a certified public 
accountant, certified financial planner, certified valuation 
analyst, and business valuator for accredited litigation; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature offer heartiest congratulations to Mr. Jerry Love for 
being elected the new chairman of the Texas Society of Certified 
Public Accountants; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Jerry Love and his lovely wife, Roz, as an expression 
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
