R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Through the years, the Lone Star State's rich 
cultural heritage has produced a remarkable variety of artists and 
craftsmen, and these talented Texans deserve our deepest gratitude 
and admiration; J. Salvador Lopez of Dallas is one such artist, and 
in July 2005, his work is being featured in the exhibition, 
"Collaboration/Introspection," presented by Centro Cultural Aztlán 
at Galeria Expression in San Antonio; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of the School for the Exemplary Arts 
magnet program in Dallas, Mr. Lopez has been honing his techniques 
since the age of 13; and
	WHEREAS, He employs dream imagery and religious symbolism in 
his paintings to explore themes such as the relationships between 
man, woman, and God; he is one of five up-and-coming artists whose 
work is being featured during Galeria Expression's "Contemporary 
Art Month," which highlights the ongoing renaissance of figurative 
contemporary art; and
	WHEREAS, Widely admired for his immense talent, Salvador 
Lopez is a distinguished Texan, and it is indeed a pleasure to 
recognize his work at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate J. Salvador 
Lopez on his inclusion in the art exhibition, 
"Collaboration/Introspection," presented by Centro Cultural Aztlán 
at Galeria Expression in San Antonio and extend to him sincere best 
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Lopez as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
