R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Tom Rohm has ably served the citizens of Richardson 
during a long and successful tenure on the Richardson City Council; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Rohm was first elected to the Place 2 seat on the 
city council in 1991, and since that time he has distinguished 
himself on the University Relations Committee, the Residential 
Strategies Committee, and the Retail Committee; moreover, he has 
excelled in his role as council liaison to the Park Commission; and
	WHEREAS, His previous civic leadership roles include service 
on the Sign Control Board from 1980 to 1983 and membership on the 
City Planning Commission from 1983 to 1991, including two years as 
chairman; and
	WHEREAS, The co-owner of Rohm's Homes, Inc., Mr. Rohm holds 
bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering management from the 
University of Missouri at Rolla; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the 
love and support of his wife, Nancy, and their two children; and
	WHEREAS, For 14 years, Tom Rohm helped to shape the future of 
the city of Richardson, and his myriad contributions to the 
betterment of his community have earned him the lasting 
appreciation of his fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Tom Rohm for his 
exemplary service as a member of the Richardson City Council and 
extend best wishes to him for continued success and happiness; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Rohm as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
