R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Tom and Patsy Boyd marked a memorable milestone in 
their marriage on June 4, 2005, when they celebrated their 50th 
wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Boyd and the former Patsy Wilson exchanged their 
wedding vows in 1955, and since that time they have been blessed 
with four children, Tommy, John, and Barry Boyd and Beverly Dickey, 
as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Respected residents of Mineola, Mr. Boyd enjoyed a 
diverse career in which he worked as a car dealer, a real estate 
broker, and an insurance agent before his retirement, while 
Mrs. Boyd has been a homemaker and worked in real estate, and served 
her community; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd remains a 
source of inspiration and joy to the family and friends with whom 
they have shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Tom and Patsy 
Boyd on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere 
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Boyd as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
